a chinese on oxford street

Noodle Oodle is a no-frills Chinese restaurant located near Tottenham Court Road Station on Oxford Street. You may recognise the restaurant from one of Gordon Ramsay’s shows when he went head to head with the head chef who currently holds the world record for the most hand-pulled noodles in three minutes.

Noodle Oodle was apparently the first restaurant in London to bring the hand-pulled noodle technique to town. They are known for their soft textured hand pulled noodles but they also offer rice dishes and also a selection of Dim Sum.

My recommendations:
Wonton soup lamien
Wonton soup lamien – The noodle oodle wontons are slightly different to the ones in Chinatown and contains minced pork and vegetables. I like, I like :) It tastes homemade and has a good strong flavour.

Homemade fried tofu
Homemade fried tofu – i love this! Tastes similar to Japanese tofu (egg tofu) and it is just delicious. The sauce may be a little overwhelming to look at but this is a definite hit”
Cold mango and pomelo sago
Mango and pomelo sago dessert - cool, creamy and refreshing!

Great food. Good price. A nice alternative to Chinatown.
